St. Cloud Man Arrested for Threatening his Ex

A 24-year-old St. Cloud man was arrested for allegedly threatening his ex-girlfriend. It happened at about 11:00 Thursday night on the 300 block of Laudenback Court in St. Cloud. Police say John Patrick Kleckner was on the phone with his ex-girlfriend, a 24-year-old St. Cloud woman, telling her if she didn’t get back together with him he was going to hurt her and himself. Police say Kleckner told his ex-girlfriend he had a gun and was on his way to her home. He also said, allegedly, that he would shoot any cop that would try to get in his way. Police eventually arrested Kleckner on the 2900 block of Maine Prairie Road and taken into custody without incident. Kleckner was first taken to the hospital for his sucicidal comments and then taken to jail where he is being held for charges of terroristic threats and domestic assault.

Roads Around Kilian Blvd Closed

On Thursday and Friday some St. Cloud area roads will be closed.  In a definitive sign of spring, the Public Works department is trimming trees on Kilian Boulevard between 7th and 13th Streets southeast beginning each day around 9 a.m.  When the workers are in a specific area, the roads will closed to traffic for safety reasons, detours will be posted.

Free Drive Through Colon Cancer Screening

The Coborn Cancer Center is offering free drive-through colorectal cancer screening in March, which is Colon Cancer Awareness Month. People older than 50 who haven’t been screened for colon cancer, or those who have family history of colorectal cancer should consider screening.

Free immuno-chemical fecal occult blood test screening kits will be available at the Saint Cloud Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy, which has drive through accessibility. There will also be kits available at the Coborn Cancer Center at the CentraCare Health Plaza. For more information call the Coborn Cancer Center at (320)229-5199 Ext. 70855.
